Torah is known as the waters of truth and it is commanded that the king should write his own copy. Emerging from the Tetragrammaton - the four letters YHVH - is the Kabbalistic "Etz Chaim" - the Tree of Life - with its ten Sefirot interconnecting energy centers.
Also in this parsha are rules requiring that there must be at least two people to testify against someone else's misbehavior. Here too are commandments against idol worship; and the forbidding of the planting of trees or monuments in sacred places; and the rules regarding not seeking out a false soothsayer, one of whom can be seen behind the men in the upper right.
