Here are the laws regarding sacred and contaminated animals and the stipulation that all the blood – the sign of life - be spilled before consuming any former living creature. On the mountain on the left – Mt. Gerizim – are the kosher animals with cloven hoof that chew their cud – even the giraffe was eatable. To the right, on the barren Mt. Ebal, are the animals and birds that are not to be eaten.
